The only way to tell the story of how we got to where we're going is to tell the story of three seventh graders who met at church and haven't given up yet.
The three of us-- Madeline, Revie and Gabrielle-- shared common obsessions, and one of them was travel. It was decided, not too long after they became friends without the aid of Facebook, that the three of them would travel to Europe after graduation.
The years passed, they were still friends, and they began to work to earn the money for this fantastic trip. Graduation from high school seemed like an unattainable goal-- surely Hell was an eternal punishment, no? -- but they dreamed of visiting Rome and Paris and London and babysat and taught little kids how to make pizza and scooped up Coldstone creations.
Eventually, reality struck cold and hard and they realized that parents weren't thrilled about three high school graduates roaming Europe without a chaperone and that the money for extensive tourism wasn't coming from teaching kids how to make pizza. So, with minimal disappointment, it was settled: the threesome would travel to England for 10 days.
That's what we're doing, folks, and this blog is a chronicle of our escapades and adventures. For safety reasons, we will only be blogging about what we've done the previous day. We promise pictures, stories, call-outs to family members we're (not) missing, and we promise ourselves that this will be everything we've been waiting a very long time for.
Sit back and enjoy a vicarious trip to London with Three Friends in a Fog.

Gabrielle, Thanks for doing this blog! Mark Twain should have had such tools to help him tell his tales. The back-story is heartwarming, and we can't wait for the next installment. Blessings to you three in your travels. John.
